French or Dutch Baroque Bombé Secretaire Bookcase

18th century, burl wood veneers of mahogany and fruit wood, oak secondary, two-part form, upper bookcase with two hinged beveled mirrored doors surmounted by an asymmetrical relief carved cartouche, louvered shelved interior above three small side-by-side drawers, two pull-out candle shelves, the base features a slant lid with writing lip opening to reveal a stepped and divided interior with central prospect door, eight small drawers, two vertical document drawers with column façade and deep well with sliding lid and removable frontispiece revealing three hidden compartments, the bombé case featuring two small side-by-side drawers above two long drawers all with applied cockbeading, raised on later ball and claw front feet.
