20th century, depicting a man and woman seated on throne chairs draped with fabric, the figures are dressed in winter attire with hands hidden beneath their sleeves, behind each is a painted folding screen, each presented in a carved rosewood frame with reverse-glass painting above the figures of the hundred forms of the character shou, not examined outside of the frame.
