Last year of the Tri-Five style with Bel Air styling, this design was an attempt to move truck ownership from the working class to the middle class. Chuck Jordan, then head of styling for GM, drew a new bed design, that replaced the usual "step-side" design with a "slab" style made from fiberglass. The interior was appointed with more luxurious amenities. This truck was restored over a five year period, with original, and new-old stock and completed in 1991.
