George III Inlaid Mahogany Sideboard

Late 18th century, mixed wood veneers and inlays, mahogany and pine secondary, concave-serpintine form, top with banded inlay, central conch shell and rosettes to corners, faux dentil molding inlaid edge, two central concave drawers feature banded line inlay, corner acanthus leaf inlays and lower central fancy conch shell inlay flanked by relief carved fretwork columns, the right side with one convex drawer over a deep drawer with banded line inlays, the left side with one convex drawer over a hinged cabinet door with banded line inlays, recessed sides, raised on bold square tapered legs with spade feet.

Likely later legs; refinished and restored; later brasses with new holes; shrinkage cracks to both sides of case; minor inlay losses; surface scratches to top.
