Lengthy WWII Short Snorter Made of 26 Notes Taped Together
Lot Details & Additional Photographs
To form a 148 in. banner consisting mostly of Japanese currency supplemented by a few Philippines occupation notes, two Chinese bills and, oddly, two German inflationary notes from the 1920s. Of particular interest is a Philippines peso with an American-imprinted VICTORY on the reverse; a Japanese 10 peso upon which an American typed "Recovered from Malinta Tunnel, Corregidor"; three notes inscribed The Great McInnis, presumably by the soldier behind this creation.

Relic condition with folds, tape, and soiling.
