Alcott Collection, Longwood Center for the Visual Arts, Farmville, Virginia, June 20 - October 18, 2014 (illustrated in the accompanying catalogue). This exhibition traveled to the North Carolina Museum of History, Raleigh, NC, September 10 - December 4, 2016.

Bane received her MFA from UNC-Greensboro (then Woman's College) in 1959. Influenced by her mentor, Gregory Ivy, she has held several teaching positions throughout her long and successful career. Her work may be found in many public collections including the Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY; the Mint Museum of Art, Charlotte, NC; and the Weatherspoon Art Museum, Greensboro, NC.
