This one-owner/first-year Camaro was bought and financed on July 22, 1967, by a high school graduate. It was enjoyed through her college years, and beyond. It was eventually put away, until the ability to bring the car back to original condition was possible.

Beginning in 1997, and over a year, this Camaro was meticulously restored to original specifications by Scott Wilborn of Raleigh, NC (current owner of Collision Masters). The problem areas of body corrosion of this first generation Camaro were replaced with new sheet metal, NOS parts were used where available, and the manufacturers stickers placed on parts as they would have been on the assembly line in Norwood, Ohio. A year correct engine was sourced, and completely rebuilt along with the entire drivetrain which is believed to be original. The list of items replaced is extensive and complete. This is a true complete restoration performed 20 years ago.

Considerable time, effort, and money made this rebuild possible. The car has been enjoyed on sunny and clear days by its owners. After the restoration was complete, she asked how to care for and wash the car. She was told not to drive in the rain, and keep it covered and in the garage when not in use. If she were to follow these rules, washing it would not be necessary. As a result, this car has not been washed in 20 years. It has just simply been wiped down when needed.
