The first: lithographic poster in colors, with elements of offset lithography, circa 1950s, marked as printed in USA and Endorsed with the Union of Lithographers of America, Cincinnati, OH seal at lower right; the second: Bill Bailey graphic advertising "World's Biggest Menagerie" with a running rhinoceros, lithographic poster in colors, circa 1940s; both posters linen backed, unframed.

Vintage Circus Posters, Estate of B. Thomas M. Smith, Sr., Petersburg, Virginia . Smith established this extensive collection of circus and theater posters over the course of 40 years, between 1936 and the early 1970s. Portions of his collection are now held by the Ringling Circus Museum, Sarasota, Florida and the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture, Washington, DC.

Both vibrant, strong prints.

Condition A-/B+: some creases and repaired tears primarily near edges; some stains and hinging remnants in margins. Both professionally restored and linen backed.
