19th century or earlier, opaque watercolor and gold on paper, the first is a portrait of a Singh depicted in profile wearing royal earrings, headpiece, necklaces, armlet, and holding a jeweled sword standing on an ornate terrace with a rich blue background, the second is of a visitor paying homage to a Singh in a palace interior, both are elegantly dressed, the interior wall is a tranquil aqua blue, inscriptions on reverse in Devanagari script, loose in frame with silk mat, framed under glass.

SS 9.75 x 13.5 in.; DOA 17.5 x 14.25 in.

Some minor loss to first painting of color on border; second painting has some water marks.
