Circa 1850 or earlier, opaque watercolor and gold on paper, the first painting is a portrait of a Singh, perhaps the Singh Maharana Sarup, at target practice, the second painting is of two men, a royal figure resting on a rug leaning against a cushion while an attendant fans him from behind and a player dressed in blue, red, and gold sits across from him, a red chaupar board with pieces between the two of them, with a vivid yellow background, inscriptions on reverse in Devanagari script, loose in frame with silk mat, framed under glass.

SS 10.25 x 13.25; 10.25 x 14 in.; DOA 14 x 17.5 in.

The first painting with some water spots and some white lines to upper left; the second painting with two minor darker areas to center and touch of dirt by figure's head to left.
