Early 19th century, mahogany, mahogany veneers, white pine and poplar secondary, one-part form, the top with two upper side-by-side line inlaid drawers above a central hinged prospect drawer, opening to reveal three small drawers, two lower drawers open to reveal two secret drawers, flanked by two tambour doors each opening to reveal two drawers above three valanced pigeon holes, fold-out writing lid with loper supports, three graduated long drawers all nicely veneered and with light and dark line inlay, inlaid stiles, on square tapered legs.

Estate of the Late Dr. Robert Hogan Gaskins Jr., of Greenville and Jacksonville, NC. Dr. Gaskins, a beloved dentist, curated a lifetime's collection of antiques and silver in his custom Williamsburg style home.

Restoration throughout; some upper small drawers rebuilt; pulls replaced; prospect door hinges replaced; velvet writing surface later and currently in fair condition; drawer runners rebuilt; while there have been some restorations currently in good presentable condition.
