Circa 1920, mahogany and mixed wood veneers, rectangular top with multiple inlaid borders and corner rosettes with ormolu trim, single drawer with faux drawer reverse having repeating inlays and swag ormolu mounts to corners, raised on tall tapered legs with repeating banded inlay and gilt metal feet, labeled to interior of drawer.

29.5 x 32.5 x 20.5 in.

Frédéric Schmit was one of the main French cabinet-makers of the second half of of the 19th century, active in Paris at the Rue de Charonne starting in 1856. He received Gold Medals at the 1878 and 1889 Expositions Universelles in Paris.

Light surface wear, scratches and staining; overall good age appropriate condition.
