Meiji period (1868-1912), a Japanese tobacco or money pouch, embossed leather with carved silver dragon closure, the pouch has multiple chains with a carved silver
ojime decorated with plovers and waves, the chains link to an ivory
kagamibuta inset with a silver plaque, framed under glass in window box format on green silk, not examined outside of the frame.
DOA 16 x 13 in.
Pouch shows some wear and loss to leather; possible repair to ivory ring.
