1960 Triumph TR3A
Lot Details & Additional Photographs
VIN: TS55900L
Mileage: 67,522

equipped with a 1991cc engine producing 100 hp, 4 speed manual transmission, and front disc brakes. Exterior is white, with navy blue interior and white piping.

This TR3A was purchased by the current owner in Chapel Hill, NC in 1969. It received marine plywood floors to replace the originals that had rusted out and was a daily driver for 10 years. Many years later it was completely disassembled and moved to Indiana, where it was lovingly reassembled by the family and a trusted Triumph mechanic. The body was taken to bare frame, bead blasted and repainted. The body was un-rusted and the floor pans, boot, and spare tire compartment were replaced by new metal. The body was painted inside and out, but without a final coat.

It received new parts where needed, to include: brake lines, stainless steel exhaust system, clutch, rear lever shocks, wiring harness, horns, carpet and interior from TRF, seat belts, pedal covers, top, side curtains, tonneau cover, 60 spoke chrome wire wheels, tires and chrome. The original engine was rebuilt. The gearbox and rear-axle are sound and received new seals. The spare tire is a painted spoke wheel. Seats are original frames and springs.

The car has regularly been driven locally, and maintained by The Flying Circus as of late, and has recently received a compete fluid change.
