Late Edo period, 18th or 19th century, decorated with a narrative scene possibly from The Tale of Heike, a Heian period dressed lady and her attendant stand on a veranda on the left two panels of the screen and on the right two panels are warriors in full armor, the scenes are set within gold-leaf clouds with gold sprinkles, pine and flowering cherry blossom trees are featured throughout, five gold leaf sheets across.

Some scratches and tears to screen; some areas of repair and repainting; some loss of lacquer to frames; some loss and darkening to pigments; wear and some loss to gold leaf on interior hinges; pigments have darken with dirt and age.
