The first an early 20th century Italian devotional niche with a transfer printed and hand-decorated portrait of the young Virgin presented in a gilt and polychrome decorated tabernacle frame with hinged doors (21.5 x 11 in. when closed) (some loss and rubbing to surface decoration, intentionally aged surfaces, some real and some faux insect damage); the second a mid-20th century Russian icon of the Virgin and Christ Child with brass oklad over a printed image, framed (DOA 10 5/8 x 10 in.).
