Late 19th century, includes a large box decorated with Chinese figures in outdoor pavilion scenes in red lacquer with painted gilding, handles on the side of the box and keyhole to front, interior is black lacquer, and a smaller sewing box with decoration in black lacquer and painted gilding; cover opens to reveal multiple divided areas some with covers, drawer below opens with similar divided areas, one with a cover, two key holes on the front, handled on the side, feet to underside.
