Late 19th-early 20th century, shaped and stacked pine construction with later pine hanging bracket added. Included are two prints depicting the ship: one under full sail and the other "hove down" ashore for cleaning the hull. The 174-ton Lillie O. Wells was built at Stonybrook, New York in 1872 and was in service until shortly before World War I.

The half hull and the prints were exhibited together in 1995 at the Long Island Maritime Museum in West Sayville, New York. A certificate documenting the loan of the prints by the then-owner of the Wells Shipyards accompanies the lot.

Losses to the keel below the stern; an approximately 2 x 5 in. area of shallow worming to the central deck; various scuff marks and light chips to extremities; overall good condition.
