Late 19th century, unmarked, rectangular form featuring an ornate scrollwork design to top upon which a finely modeled realistic lizard / salamander is perched, the concealed divided compartment for the stamps opens on a pivoting hinge and is parcel gilt, period script monogram to front of compartment "JRG."
