Born in Buffalo, NY, James Kerr began his art studies at a young age. Two of his greatest mentors were Lazlo Szabo, a renowned portrait painter and Carl Illig, a prominent landscape painter. He describes his work as all about "capturing a moment in time." One of his paintings was recently selected by the U.S. Department of State for an Art in Embassies exhibition in Muscat, Oman.
