19th century, each hand painted fully over paper with four elegantly dressed Chinese noble ladies engaged in respected pursuits such as music and playing table games, a variety of brush strokes and effects are used in the paintings to create beautiful textures and details to the interiors and exterior landscapes, both framed under glass, not examined outside of the frame.
