Circa 1940, mahogany, and exotic woods, banded oval top with book-matched chevron designed veneers, alternating light and dark wood veneered edge, fluted pedestal on an ogee octagonal base with white metal trim, together with four leaves and two hinged support legs, along with a case for leaves.

30.5 x 49 x 78 in. Each leaf 22.5 in.

Bock, a renowned interior designer, was brought down from New York in the 1930s to design and furnish several interiors for the Duke family and University. This dining room suite was custom built for the Pinecrest residence.
