Florence, 1950s, rectangular top with molded edge, featuring pietra dura inlays including malachite, lapis, amethyst, agate, jasper, quartz, and other hardstones, the image depicting a central paterae with olive branches, palmettes, ewers, dolphin fountains, and scrollwork, supported on seven baluster turned marble legs, accompanied by three typed letters from Societa Civile Arte Del Mosaico, referring to the creation and transport of the table.

From the Estate of the late Mary Duke Biddle Trent Semans, Durham, NC

Accompanying letter states that this table was made under the direction of Mario Montelatici (1894-1974), by the artists Francesco Cornazzani, Francesco Chisio, Giannini Ferruccio, and others not named.

Good estate condition; some very light surface scratches and toning to top; will require customization for stabilization of legs, which are presently supported in a custom fitted wood base.
