Late 18th century, Rowan County, attributed to the Gheen School, yellow pine secondary, dovetailed case, lipped slant lid with candle drawer loper supports, divided interior with central relief carved prospect drawer with hidden compartment and drawer, fluted document drawer, four pigeon holes with valances, eight serpentine front small drawers. the case with four graduated lipped drawers, flanked by fluted quarter columns with lamb's tongue, on later bracket foot base.

Later bracket foot base; drawer lope candle drawers rebuilt; break and loss to right corner tip of lid; later hinges; hidden document drawer rebuilt; later pulls; lip repair to two drawers.
