19th-very early 20th century, painted leather construction, the face having two solar designs within a round border and two small iron fasteners piercing the surface from behind. Presented in a custom wooden shadowbox frame.

DOA 43 in.; Shield 25 in.

A rare form that seldom enters the Western market.

Moderate wear resulting in some paint losses; one-inch gouge to an edge revealing underlying leather; overall good condition, however not examined out of the frame, which is heavily nailed and boarded on the back.
