Circa 1770, walnut, relief carved frames with acanthus leaf ears, ribbon arched crest rail, stop fluted arm supports terminating in acanthus leaf, stylized tulip skirt flanked by rosettes raised on turned and tapered fluted legs, stamped to underside of front seat rail "J.B. Boulard" with later embroidered silk upholstery.

Staining to later upholstery; the first chair with break and repair to crest rail at joints; crack above front left leg; over upholstery nail holes to rear carved stiles; break and repair to front right leg near joint; the second chair with break and repair to front left leg and evidince of later glue to all four joints of seat; break and repair to right arm at lower acanthus leaf support; plug repair to both arms at sides of stile joints.
