Eastern seaboard Virginia or North Carolina, circa 1780 - 1800, yellow pine seat support, high-back with carved and shaped crestrail, the lower back with carved and pierced panel with shaped shoe foot support, shaped arms with acanthus carved and scrolled knuckle, shaped arm supports with scratch beaded edge, seat rails with molded edge, square straight front legs with molded corner and inside chamfer, downswept rear legs, stretcher base.
