Stoneware with an extreme ovoid form, dark olive alkaline glaze with darker runs from the upper handles down each side, scattered quartz impurities, one handle with "DS" stamp, the opposing handle stamped "10".

The Daniel Seagle stamp of DS within a rectangle flanked by flyfot motifs is attributed to his early period mid 1820-30s. Reference Southern Folk Pottery Collectors Society Sale Catalog #13 p. 13.

Loss to much of the "DS" stamped handle; quartz crater.
