The first a railroad grade "Vanguard" by Waltham, circa 1901, serial #10532780, twenty-three jewels, stem wind and lever set, with signed Montgomery dial and blue steeled spade hands, with swing out work movement housed in a gold filled Keystone watch case numbered 5444393 and with engraved detailing and engine turn work to case (case 2.25 in. diameter; 18s) (very light scratching to crystal visible only under magnification; running at time of examination); the second serial #431445, seventeen jewels, stem wind and set, the Montgomery dial with blue steeled spade hands, signed and marked "Shockresistant / Antimagnetic," housed in a screw back 10KT rolled gold case with engraved block detailing to bezel, by Star Watch Case Co. numbered 4436193 (case 2 in. diameter; 18s) (very good estate condition; running at time of examination).
