Both sets 16mo (6.75 in.), full calf with gilt, marbled endpapers and page ends, to include: The Poetical Works of Sir Walter Scott (Edinburgh: Adam and Charles Black, 1861), nine of twelve volumes present; plus The Poetical Works of Robert Southey (London: Longman, Brown, Green, and Longmans, n.d., circa 1860), twelve volumes complete, each pasted with the library plate for a Robert Sinclair.

Acquired from Parke-Bernet Galleries, New York as Lot 128 in the firm's book auction held on September 19, 1969. The sale catalogue is included with this lot.
