Six pieces to include: Free Frank postal cover, Washington City, January 8, 1845, to Dunbow Stephens University of Virginia, signed A H Stephens by future Confederate Vice-President Alexander H. Stephens when a U. S. Congressman from Georgia, red wax seal on the flap; Partially printed Culpeper, Virginia tax receipt for 1862, one slave is assessed here; Confederate Quartermaster's receipt, May 31, 1864, for shoes, pants, buckets, rope, corn, and feed sacks; partially printed military requisition for corn and hay, signed by Lt. Col. E. P.Taylor, 22nd Virginia Battalion; two unused Confederate postage stamps, being the 2¢ Andrew Jackson and the 5¢ Jefferson Davis, both with full gum.

Overall fine condition with crisp documents despite age.
