One-Owner 1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS Convertible Restomod
Lot Details & Additional Photographs
VIN: 138675K102963 Mileage: 4000

Built as a one-off custom at Straight Line Customs of Burnsville, Minnesota around 2013. With a 383 cubic inch stroker V8 engine with Quick Fuel SS750PV carburetor, Herman Big Tube headers, and electronic ignition by ATI. The car produces approximately 450 horsepower and 460 foot-pounds of torque. The engine block paint matches the car and most parts are polished aluminum or stainless steel. The cam has a very "choppy" idle, and along with the Flowmaster exhaust this car sounds amazing. A three thousand RPM high-stall torque converter is used with a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission and fed to a Ford 9" rear-end with a modular center section. This car is very fast. It handles and stops just as well with Wilwood electric assisted power steering and adjustable brakes using CPP big brake components. A four-link rear suspension with Viking Performance adjustable coil-over springs, UTI shock absorbers, and Hotchkis trailing arms put all of this power to the road. Custom Foose wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich g-force tires in 225/40/ZR18 front and 275/40ZR18 in the rear.

The exterior in Glasurit Honda Superformance Blue with a grey convertible top. The paint looks amazing, and the grey top provides a dramatic contrast seldom seen. The interior is nicely redone in black leather with bucket seats, and a console that houses a B&M Magnum Grip Street Bandit Shifter for the transmission. An Alpine am/fm/cd player with aux and four speakers with an amplifier. The dashboard has been updated with Dakota Digital VHX Series gauges, and Vintage Air heating and air conditioning.

Professional build with high quality fabrication, parts, and assembly; very low mileage since ownership; paint and interior are like new from the builder.

The doors do not have any locks installed in them, and the trunk lock is keyed but not installed; attachment to trim for convertible top cover is missing one snap; no other apparent concerns.
