Circa 1880, pattern number 310 Q, retailed by Bailey Banks & Biddle of Philadelphia, with period script monogram to base, shaped rectangular form, the body with reeded base beneath a stippled band, conforming cover with slight undulation and hand-chased wild rose and leaf decoration against a stippled ground, all surmounted by a finely cast branch and blossom form handle.

This aesthetic pattern is rarely found in flatware, and even rarer still to find in holloware. It is a stunning example of the quality of workmanship executed by the Gorham Company, currently on view in the exhibition, Gorham Silver Designing Brilliance 1850–1970, currently on view at the Rhode Island School of Design and coming to the Mint Museum in Charlotte in 2020.
