Circa 1730-1740, struck twice to either side of handle "PQ" in rectangular punch, tapered cylindrical form with applied banding to waist and crenelated border above the molded foot, applied ribbing to rim, later applied pouring spout, the hinged cover (likely a marriage or replacement) with domed swirled boss and shaped rim over pouring spout and with scrolled thumbpiece, scrolled handle with applied band and shaped terminus, "44 oz" scratch weight inscribed to base along with a period style monogram "P / J * C."
