Hollow cut silhouette embossed "King" below the profile, several later pencil and ink inscriptions to the verso and the backing sheets, retaining an exhibition label from the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities to the verso of one backing, presented under glass in period gilt frame.

According to the exhibition label on the verso, this silhouette was once in the collection of Mr. Lawrence Park of Groton, Massachusetts.

Mary Holyoke Pearson (MA, 1782-1829) was the daughter of Reverend Eliphalet & Priscilla (Holyoke) Pearson. She married Reverend Ephraim Abbot on January 5, 1814.
