Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Kasper Sonne received his BA from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2000. He now lives and work in Brooklyn, New York.

Sonne describes his TXC series as "a way to oppose the perfect monochrome painting," introducing conflict to a serene surface by deliberating pouring pure bleach on a painting. The present painting, TXC68, dates to 2014, the same year Sonne vowed to not make any more.

Working in a wide range of media, from painting to sculpture to video, Kasper Sonne has exhibited extensively - Copenhagen, Mexico City, Paris, Basel, London, New York, Stockholm, and Brussels.
