Thoth, the Egyptian god of learning and divine wisdom, was associated with the African Sacred Ibis. In fact, he is commonly depicted as a striding man with the head of an ibis.

Areas of restoration to wooden elements with some later paint; all over verdigris to metal; one leg with partial crack approximately wrapping one half the circumference of the lower leg.
