Louis XV Style Giltwood Mirror

First half 20th century, composition and wood with gilt over gesso and bole clay, featuring an interior cove-molded arched frame with beveled mirror, surrounded by sculptural rocaille and floral motifs amidst a diapered background and beneath a gadrooned cornice, unmarked.

Some insect damage to posterior; mirror back panel with looseness mainly at top; scattered cracks and gilt rubbing and retouch to frame; possible old break and repair to top right corner of frame and shell pediment.
