Circa 1700, carved wood (likely limewood), with traces of gesso and polychrome, underside retaining worn round ink stamp "...Salzburg," rendered as a kneeling saintly female figure, gazing down and gesturing in flowing robes.

The traces of blue polychrome on the figure's dress and the pose and gesture of adoration rather than mourning indicate the piece may have been a representation of the Virgin Mary instead of Mary Magdalene.

Age check to wood; losses to paint and gesso; some edge chips; losses to fingers and arms with some areas of repair.
