This Online-Only Auction, benefitting CAM Raleigh, has a soft-staggered close; an additional five minutes is added to the close time for every five lots being offered (i.e. lots 1-5 begin to close at 9:30pm, lots 6-10 begin to close at 9:35pm, etc.). If any bids are received within the five minutes prior to a lot closing, the lot time will be extended for an additional five minutes (i.e. lot 1 receives a bid at 9:26pm, the time extends to 9:31pm). The five-minute extension will continue to be applied until no further bids have been placed.
When placing a bid, you are welcome to bid the asking price, or you may enter your maximum bid and the system will competitively execute your bid for you.

Certain auction items and/or services may have restricted uses or other qualification, which affect value. There are no expressed or implied warranties or representations of any kind or nature with respect to the property of services, and in no event shall the Contemporary Art Foundation, Inc. or its representatives be responsible for the accuracy of descriptions, genuineness, authenticity, or condition of the property or services. Only the amount, if any, in excess of the fair market value of an item purchased can be considered a charitable contribution. It may be difficult, if not impossible, to establish the fair market value of one-of-a-kind items. In the absence of any fair market value or regulations to implement the 2017 tax law, the IRS is likely to say that the purchase price is fair market value, and therefore, no part of the purchase price would be considered a deductible charitable contribution.
