Leland Little Auctions (LLA) has endeavored to accurately describe the items being sold, but all property offered for sale is strictly "as - is" "where - is" with all faults. All sales are final and no refunds are given. The sales records and recordings shall be conclusive. It is the bidder's responsibility to determine the exact condition/authenticity of each item. No statement in this catalogue or by representatives of LLA shall be considered as a warranty or assumption of liability. Written and oral descriptions given by LLA staff members are given as a courtesy to a client, are only an opinion, and should not be considered as a guarantee of age, composition, or authenticity. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear or imperfections. By bidding, you signify that you have either closely examined the items, have chosen not to examine them, or have hired an independent agent to examine the item(s) for you. Condition reports are available via the online catalog or by contacting the LLA office.

Sales are subject to the terms and conditions of sale. Bidding is available by online absentee bidding only. There is a 15% buyer's premium. Payment is due at the end of the auction by cash, certified funds, or wire transfer only. Credit Card payment will not be accepted. North Carolina sales tax is 7.5%.

If paying by check, LLA reserves the right to hold the item(s) until the check has cleared. Payment is due at the end of the auction by cash, certified funds, or wire transfer only. Credit Card payment will not be accepted. Federal law requires we report payments above $10,000 made by cash or certain other cash equivalents, such as money orders. International (non-domestic United States) bidders will be required to pay by wire transfer.

Leland J. Little, NCAL#6139; NCFL#7452. The auctioneer always reserves the right to withdraw a lot for any reason he deems appropriate, including any lots that may have a reserve, or if there is a lack of bidding interest or lack of appropriate bids. LLA shall have the right to withdraw any item at any time for any reason and to default any sale in the event of an error or dispute.

Online absentee bidding is available during the auction. LLA cannot be held liable for Internet bids that are not sent or received by the server. Any lot that receives a bid five minutes or less prior to its ending time will have its online absentee bidding time extended for an additional five minute period from the point of the last bid. Any and all lots will close either at the designated closing time or at such point that it has not received an advanced bid within a five minute time frame.

Weights in catalogue description have been estimated through measurement and are to be used as approximate guidelines and not relied on as exact. Jewelry: Unless otherwise stated, all stones have been measured and graded in their settings. Metal weight given for jewelry includes stones unless stated otherwise. Buyers should be reminded that many colored gemstones have historically been treated to enhance their appearance. Lab reports will be referenced in catalogue descriptions.

Item ownership is conveyed immediately at the point of online bidding closure. While we try to handle and store all items with great care, LLA will have no liability for any loss or damage to an item after the hammer has fallen.

Unless prior arrangements are made, pick-up within 10 working days of the auction is required, or a $10.00 per lot per day storage fee will be charged.

Unless prior arrangements have been made, any lot(s) remaining at the LLA auction gallery more than 90 calendar days after the auction purchase date will be considered abandoned and will be resold at auction to off-set the storage fees. LLA is not obligated to notify the winning bidder that the abandoned lot(s) will be resold at auction.

LLA is pleased to assist you with the shipment of your successful auction purchases. Jewelry, silver, wine, coins, and most art can be shipped in-house. Items are shipped with their declared value and full insurance per the carrier's terms and conditions. A signature is required upon delivery. Please contact our Shipping Coordinator for assistance with your items.

Smaller items, other than the aforementioned exceptions, are evaluated for in-house shipping on a case-by-case basis. Please bear in mind that the LLA Shipping Department is small in scale. We will respond to your request in the order in which it was received. Depending on the size of the auction and complexity of your request, shipping may take several weeks from the time of initial contact. When time allows, our Shipping Coordinator can help facilitate up to three quotes from third party shippers for large items and any art that cannot be handled in-house. Shipping quotes are valid for 15 days.

For all shipments leaving our in-house shipping department, any and all additional charges, including but not limited to customs charges, are the sole responsibility of the winning bidder. By shipping in-house you are giving LLA permission to charge your provided credit card for said charges.

Please be advised that LLA does not automatically ship items. The winning bidder must either contact our Shipping Coordinator for assistance or submit a completed LLA Authorized Shipping Release Form indicating a chosen shipper. No lots will be released to an outside shipper without this form.

LLA works with a number of local and international shippers as well as delivery companies; however, LLA does not recommend one service over another. Buyers are expected to use good judgment and ask shippers questions about packing methods and insurance, customs charges etc. before selecting a shipper and paying for services. All packing, handling, shipping and delivery services are performed at the sole risk of the buyer. LLA assumes no legal or financial responsibility and is free from all liability associated with fulfilling your shipping request.
