Meiji period; the baluster vases with ornate figural and floral scenes inlaid in mother-of-pearl, coral and other exotic materials against a kinji ground; the vase with shaped silver mounts featuring finely worked cloisonne in multi-color enamels; each with applied square mark featuring three characters.
