The first is a (2) gallon milk crock with a band of incised line decoration, impressed stamp "Reinhardt Bros Vale NC" on body and "2" impressed on wide rim (see pp.74-75 "Potters of the Catawba Valley North Carolina"; (rim chips; small through hole to side); the second is a straight sided cylindrical crock by Harvey Reinhardt stamped "3" above "H.F. Reinhardt Vale NC" (see p.75 "Potters of the Catawba Valley North Carolina") (glaze worn at rim and handles, otherwise very good).
