With eight dishes in fan shape around a scalloped central dish; decorated in bright colors with gilding of abstract traditional Japanese design patterns and repeating faces and plum blossoms; presented together in a round lacquer box; each dish is marked on the underside with a red stamp that reads "hand painted in Nippon, made in Japan."

Center dish 7/8 in. x 4 5/8 in. diameter.
