From the H. F. W. Collection, Chapel Hill, NC

A rare and highly sought-after illustrated catalogue of the celebrated porcelain collection assembled by Hsiang Yuan Pien during the Ming Dynasty. This exquisite folio has been in the consignor's family since it was originally acquired in China during the 1930s.

Internally clean with only a few widely scattered touches of trivial spotting; the folder with light wear along the spine, bumps to the corners and a worn crease to one pin's fabric hinge; the protective outer wrap with a small damp stain and several splits. Overall a well preserved example in very fine condition.
