Meiji Period (1868-1911), signed on the bottom in red, the standing female figure wears an engraved and stained kimono and obi, the geisha has an elaborate formal hairdo, her robes are realistically carved to indicate movement, she is holding an open umbrella, the umbrella can be removed at the top.
