Antique, could be from the Nara or Heian period based on style with the deeply detailed face, teeth fully modeled in the open mouth, deep facial wrinkles on forehead and around the mouth, body shape and slim arms, the ascetic monk is depicted here kneeling with hands in anjali mudra, mounted to a later base.
