The printed scale dated 1722 and indicating Edward Beaton as the purveyor, London, the rectangular case with arched top and Chinoiserie decoration, the glazed door enclosing a mercury barometer and spirit thermometer.

Some minor chipping and touch-ups to case; later hanging tab; glass possibly replaced.
