Circa 1890s, unmarked, steel single comb with ratchet wind-up movement, brass cylinder, STOP/PLAY and CHANGE/REPEAT controls, the box with veneers and lightwood marquetry, twin gilt metal handles to sides, ebonized interior, the underside of the lid with a manuscript tune list.

Plays well, though the tip of one tooth is missing; the changer appears to be operating; light scuffs and wear associated with normal use.
