The custom design ring featuring one prong set square cut diamond weighing approximately .86 carat (H color, VS2 clarity), one bezel set round brilliant cut diamond (4.30mm) weighing approximately .30 carat (L color, SI1 clarity), (2) round brilliant cut diamonds (2.10mm) weighing approximately .07 total carat (H color, SI2 clarity); and set vertically with (7) round brilliant cut diamonds (2.70mm) weighing approximately .61 total carat (SI clarity) in an engraved silver mount with 14KT yellow gold accents, signed and marked sterling /14KT. Total diamond weight of 1.74 carats.

The ring was custom designed by Mary Ann Scherr for the consignor's mother honoring her children and their birth order; Ms. Scherr's design drawing for the ring and her notes accompany the lot. A gifted designer, Mary Ann Scherr's work can be found in the permanent collections of major museums, including the Vatican Museum of Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, National Museum of Art, and many others of note. Moving to North Carolina in 1989, she shared ownership in Raleigh's Roundabout Art Collective; her designs have been featured in the Gregg Museum of Art and Design, the Mahler, the Carolina Designer Craftsmen Guild, and the Penland School of Crafts.

Very good estate condition; accent stones appearing white and opaque, possibly a polishing compound.
